David B. Muhlhausen states argument that the death penalty actually saves lives by murdering those who murder others and by scaring other criminals from following into their footsteps.
I disagree with Muhlhausen, because you cannot prove a complete direct link between the death penalty and crime rates, it's coincidence. The Executioners Who Walk Among UsBob Greene is in favor of the death penalty and believes that it should be expanded to encompass more crimes that aren't considered capital offenses, because there are plenty of murderers in the street that are convicted of more minor crimes, but are never caught.

Bill Ryan claims that murderous criminals are no different from any other jailed criminal so we should treat them any different. Who's to say they shouldn't be able to pursue a life, whether it is held in captivity? He believes the death penalty should be completely abolished.

It is a complete and utter detriment to our economy. He also explains the flaws in the system and how sometimes even innocent people can end up on death row.
I completely agree with Gillespie |
